British insurers eye move into Irish market
    17/05/2004 - 14:51:22

Two British-based insurance companies are believed to be interested in entering the Irish market in a move that could transform the Irish motor insurance landscape.

The competition could mean cuts to motor insurance premia costs.

Talks are understood to be at an advanced stage with the London-based insurers, but neither of the firms has been named.

Employers liability and home insurance are also likely to be on offer should the two groups get the go-ahead to set-up business in Ireland.

heard it on the radio on the way into work earlier. sounds good. any competition is good so long as they dont join the current cartel and start off with low premiums.

It is good news as they will be coming into the market to aggressively take customers from insurance companies already here.
But, they are also here to make as much money as they can!
