distortion circuit

not sure if this is the right forum, but here it goes.... i need the circuit diagram for a distortion box i.e. guitar etc. in one end and a distorted signal out the other end. would be nice if it had controls (Gain, vol., tone) but if it was just switch operated that would be great aswel. cheers big moe
