hi folks before i leave college i want to dl lots of music with win mx (www.winmx.com) is there anyway to do this on the firewalled network? i got the ip address and dns address and stuff from winipc console. thanks eza

Yeah u need something to to tunnel ur p2p program through a proxy.

A program called httport will give you a socks server that tunnells through a standard web proxy

http://www.httport.com

or Socks2http
http://www.totalrc.net

This may or may not work depending how your college firewall/proxy is configured. I can't show you how to configure it as it can be far from straight forward sometimes and u'll have to figure out a few things bout ur colleges setup for it too work.
