Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

LFC Board and the Corleone family

I found this on another site,I think this chap hits the nail on the head.

    this is a repost.

You remember the bit where an offer comes in that - in fact - they are planning to refuse. The offer is for them to finance a drugs operation on the South Side, but Don Vito plans to stay out of it because he doesn't want to get involved with drugs.
Sonny Corleone can't believe how good the offer is, and says something along the lines of, "So we stump up the cash at no risk to our investment?"

That's the "outburst" that ends the meeting. Vito apologises for his unruly son, and afterwards says to Sonny: "Don't ever tell anyone outside the family what you are thinking."

That's what Steve Morgan has done wrong in the board's eyes: at the AGM and elsewhere, he has said what other shareholders are thinking. But the LFC board is as tight-lipped as the Corleones, and their way of working is based on similar principles.

Be reasonable. Be patient, even if sometimes that looks like you're waiting far too long. Wait for the right moment. And never tell anyone outside the family what you are thinking.

Only thing is Liverpool FC is less like the Corleone Family and more like the Royal Tenenbaum family.
