Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well anyone got reccomendations for Peninsular Malaysia? Heading there for 10 days in June.... Have SE Asia Lonely planet(pretty old one), but as it's only 10 days I'd prefer personnal advice on highlights!

Hi I was there a couple years back great country. Kuala Lumpur is worth a visit I stayed in the Shangra La 5 star hotel you can book rooms through trail finders for about 60 euro a night. Check out the batu caves outside K.L.
Visit Melaka beautiful old town. You can get an overnight train from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore for about eur30.00 1st class (you have your own cabin with TV toilet shower. Fly to Redang on the east coast and catch a boat out to the Island where
you can snorkle or scuba dive in tropical waters. Internal flights are about eur35 each hop with Malaysian Airlines saves a lot of time.

Tioman Island is worth a look but it may be a bit out of the way for a 10 day trip. Certainly I enjoyed it.

Afraid 60 euros a night is well outside my budget.... anyway only really need a bed! Batu caves are on my provisional itenerary, as well as a night trek somewhere (can't remember the name!)

But, as it stands at the moment I may just chill a little longer in Thailand, as the rainy season will be a hell of a lot worse in Malaysia! Bucketing down in Krabi at the moment:rolleyes:

Would like to swing a visit there, but reckon I won't be able to. Think I'll just set myself 2 or 3 places to go & leave it at that
