Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Go to the National Gallery on Merrion Square to take a leisurely browse through the special Irish Landscape watercolours exhibition... then have a cup of coffee afterwards. €4.50 well spent.

Visit a book shop: Hogis Figgis, Waterstones, Easons, ...

Go to a second hand bookshop and buy something interesting. Find somewhere in the shade with a good view and read.

Visit a Museum: If you need to kill 4 hours the Chester Beatty Library in Dublin Castle is good for that and more. Plus you'll have 4.50 change from your 4.50 for coffee and an Irish Times or Guardian.

    Wander around aimlessly.

Enjoy a nice stroll in town by walking to my appartment and putting the money in my letterbox. That way you get some exercise, you see some sights, and you feel good about contributing your cash to a good cause.

Head up towards Stephens Green, stop off at the last shop on the RHS. Buy some glue and a plastic bag. Pour contents of glue into bag. Head up towards Kevin St. and take the 3rd right into the flats. Sniff away to your hearts content and the 4 hours will seem like 10 minutes.

Or else you could buy a slice pan, break it up into 1 thousand equal pieces (should take at least 4 hours) and feed it to the ducks in the Green.

with €4.50 he could do both at the same time.

Way to spit in the face of the anti-globalisation movement. You make me sick.

Agent Orange. Learn some economics. Read the economist's articles on Naomi Klein. Then come back to me when you know enough about the subject to realise that No Logo, while good at pointing out problems, offers no solutions and that Naomi Klein and most of your "anti-globalisation" friends haven't a bulls notion about what you're talking about.

What about locating a privately owned foodstore to purchase food in? Like when I'm shopping for cds in town I try to avoid Virgin/Golden Discs/HMV and find a small cd store (where the cds are probably cheaper to boot). I see no point in giving my money to whatever duopoly that strolls into town.

Besides even if the anti-globalisation movement fails to take off, at least your body will thank you for saying no to Maccy Ds :) (Even if your brain is screaming at you for depriving it of its addictive chemicals ;) ).

"brotha" what are you gonna do? axe me a question next?

Yes it's a generalisation. That's why I qualified it with the word "most".
