Saw this while I was in England. The US embassy plan to take over a number of streets around the embassy. They are putting checkpoints in and proper 2 metre high fences. They will turn Grosvenor Square into little America. Just curious how people would feel if it happened here.

Well, didn't we essectilly have it for Mayday (the American Embassy residence is in the Phoenix Park).

If I was the American Ambassador's security advisor I would be looking for something more secure that their existing chancellory.
