Anyone else having problems with Clicksilver? Every so often the data stream simply stops. Nothing going in either direction, this lasts for maybe 8-10 seconds typically then all is fine. Its happening as I write this! Grrrrrr.

Also the support newsgroup seems to be dead.

    Mike.

Thank god! I thought it was my wireless network giving me jip, thought my laptop was dropping the connection.

Things seem to be back to normal now - I'm on Gigiweb DSL - was very slow earlier on. Checked Symantec site - they're a couple of new worms - if you run Windows Update regularly you should be OK.

yyea..bit of a pain in the ass.....especially when you're trying to upload a 36MB database to a server and it keeps stopping :(

Happened 3 or 4 times to me yesterday. all programs just lose connectivity... firefox, msn, the database uploader thingy, everything...

Everything's been ok with my Clicksilver connection over the last while, ever
since there was a major glitch a few weeks ago (was it?) that lasted more
than a day! I'm not a heavy user, not a gamer, haven't been doing any
major (10 MB+) downloads so latency and disconnects haven't been a
    problem for me.

I have found UTV's Support responses to be good by the way, and I
must also commend them on a recent pricing negotiation I had with
them. I'm glad to report that they are human and many/some of them
understand what their user base are going through and what they
    want from such a service.

I'm not all too sure on how good their IP network archiecture is though.
They didnt seem to have sufficient resilience/redundancy (ie: two paths
at all points) for that outage that lasted more than a day, but from what
they told me they are building it up all the time so stability should improve.

I recommend them as a low-cost supplier of DSL.

I'm having the same problem, the connection seems to pause roughly every 8 minutes. I can see it in traffic graphs - things would be speeding along at 53KB/sec and then bam! - nothing for about 10 seconds.
