    Anyone catch this last night. A very interesting discussion on the social effects of video games. A lot of different opinions were voiced, but it all remained quite sensible. Kinda blew away a few myths about gamers too which was nice to see.

    aye, very good programme.
    there seemed to be a lot of knee jerk "it's only a matter of time before someone mimics video games" crap in it... apart from that, it was great

    There was that, but at the same time they had people saying, don't blame video games, there are violent people out there and given the pervasiveness of video games it's likely that some people who commit crimes will have played them.

    Also showing the teamplay and friendship/comarardiery(sp?) amongst people at lan parties was a great bit of PR for video games.

    Yeah caught it last night. Was very interesting. Even had clips from Elternal Darkness in it (:D)
