Why is roaming with GPRS cheaper than in Ireland...?

Because we don't complain about the costs of things..

any anyway, aren't we all rich now so we don't have to check prices?

ask customer care and see what they say? No doubt they will tell you that we use GPRS longer than other people in the known world!
