Step down transformer

I have a device that was bought from the US and as such has a non standard voltage. It's 115v AC/60Hz outputting 35watts. Would this step down transformer be up for the job? http://www.peats.ie/cgi-bin/shop/db.cgi?view=1&id=6822&type=6&sid=693798x10 It's 110v usuage but would it ok? If not can you recommend something else.

If I understand you correctly you mean that the device you wish to power requires 115v and consumes 35W of power.

The transformer from Peats gives you 110v at 44W so it will be fine. Don't worry too much about the 110v/115v thing it's much the same as over here where you still find people in different countries referring to the mains voltage as 220v, 230v or 240v...

Even on this transformer for instance it refers to 230v in one paragraph and 220v in the next :rolleyes:
