Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have recently signed up to Digiweb wireless broadband - great stuff.
I could have waited for eircom.......... but that migh have taken a little too long.

My connection works well when I hard wire the connection into my laptop.

However when I introduce a wireless router for my home network, I cannot connect to the web.

The wireless router is a dell truemobile 2300.
I have set up the router according to Digiweb specs, using static IP address's etc.

I can ping from my laptop (wirelessly) the router & the roof antenae but no further.

Also I cannot access the web from my router even if I hardwire my laptop to the router.

Can anyone help my correctly configure my setup ?

    Anyhelp would be largely appreciated.
    Thanks
    John.

Have I tried setting the original modem to gateway.....

I only have a dell router and a digiweb connection, the digiweb connection cannot be configured. The Router can....

This weekend I managed to get the internet connection when I plugged the internet connection into a lan port, and hardwired my laptop to another lan port on the dell router.

This was a small victory. But I still connot wirelessly browse the web.
However after reading your post I think my next move is to set the router up as a access point rather than gateway......

    This should work.

    wish me luck...... :ninja:
