    well done cavan!

carlow made laois work for the win but laois won it in the last 5 mins. they will have to improve a lot against meath. the goal should have stood.

Yeah I saw the Laois v. Carlow game. Carlow kicked alot of bad wides from impossible angles, with their bad foot etc. The Laois goal was a definate goal.

I voted for Cavan. Glad I didnt realise at the time that McCabe and Reilly were injured as I would have probably plumped for Down.

Well done, but I would like to take this opportunity to write you off against Armagh. Unfortunately, yis have no chance.

Poor show by Laois. They'll need to improve a lot to retain Leinster. Lucky they were playing Carlow and not Westmeath or Wexford.

westmeath will not do anything this year, wexford on the other hand might.

laois were not too bad BUT they know they can play better. they were a bit nervous, being champs, a lot of people were expecting a walkover but fair credit to carlow, they fought to the end. carlow have a lot of good football clubs so things are not all doom and gloom there.

this could be the scare Laois need. I am sure Micko will not let them forget it in training :) i reckon (and hope) Laois will beat Meath.

Sorry Porn you won't want to hear this but I'll be shocked. Against Monoghan Armagh were excellent. Md Donnell and Clarke on the inside forward line linked up brilliantly. I know Monoghan did not play well, but they were not let play. I fancy Armagh to win Ulster after seeing that game.

Coleman knows what he's doing. And we have players that can keep Armagh quiet for the full 70 minutes. We done it in the League and we can do it even better in the Championship. All we have to do is put Collins on McDonnell and Rabitte on Clarke, and if they play well Cavan will win the game.

We have the players to rip Armagh apart up front, for example Finbarr O'Reilly who scored 3-2 against them the last day is probably our second or third choice forward on the bench. If McCabe comes on and Francie Bellew is marking him, McCabe will destroy him. He done it to Adrian Scullion who is one of the highest rated defenders in Ulster at the moment. Jason O'Reilly always and I mean always score a goal, can you remember the last time he hasn't?! Lyng is too much for an unfit McGeeney to handle.

If you look at all the possibilities Cavan have, they seriously out weigh Armagh. I can post all of them if you want me to.

I put down Cavan to win Ulster, not because I'm being biased. But because I can see the potential in the players and the manager to go and do that.

Yup... It sure did. But I am smiling now! And I know that we have the squad to beat Armagh. I hope Armagh will be cocky going into this next game because if they are, they are in for a hiding!

Porn I really think you will regret putting that post up, but seeing as I am neutural in this I will be happy to see Cavan get through. I also think you are reading far too much into a league performance. And by the way, I had Cavan to beat Down in the pools. I still think Armagh will beat them fairly comfortably though. Sorry!

Can Cavan do it again this weekend?? I hope so - it'll shut that Armagh crowd up for a while...

Apparently McCabe is on the starting line up...

Just cannot see it happen. Especially if Clarke and Mc Donnell link up as effectively as they did against Monoghan.

In fairness Waylander. That was against Monaghan. They're not exactly a GAA superpower.

I think we have a decent chance. I think it will be win of no more than 3 points to either side. I just hope that side is Cavan. We are good enough to do it.

And its not the case of whether we can handle Clarke and McDonnell, Cavan have players that can take them out of the game. But a case of wheter Armagh can handle McCabe and Jason O'Reilly. Down had two players (their best defenders) on McCabe the last day and couldn't handle him. And Jason always gets us goals, so we have a decent chance.

The game, in my opinion will be won in midfield, where I think both sides are 50/50.

I think the Armagh midfield is much stronger. What Cavan will with the two man full back line I don't know. Dey should leave Brady as the extra man to pick up the breaks in the full back line - he's a fast and fit fecker. Let the Armagh boys have their extra man at the back.

Come on Cavan - it'll be nice to see them back where they belong - in an Ulster final

We are playing a three man full back line AFAIK. Collins will be in there to stop any high balls being hit in to McDonnell, Rabbitte will be picking up Clarke, and Paul Brady is playing in the full back line too.

It looks like our strongest possible team, with Sean Johnston, Eamonn O'Reilly and Peter Reilly all in reserve (which isn't bad at all).

    C'mon ye Boys in Blue

Well Porn, I was wrong they came very close with only 14 men for the whole game. Although Armagh did have a good goal disallowed, but can't blame Cavan for that. All in all I thought the ref had a poor game, but the sendining off was the correct decision.

True. But he should have sent off Hearty and another Armagh player (for nearly breaking Anthony Gaynor's ribs with a very very late tackle) in the first half in all fairness. I'm still really really annoyed about that.

We should have won but their 16 players against our 14 told in the end.
