Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wireless 108Mbps & gaming ?

Thinking of getting the D-Link 108Mbps AP connecting to a laptop and a pc for online gaming.

    http://www.dlink.co.uk/airplus_extreme_g.htm

The pc for gaming (which is the 2nd pc) is only about 8 feet away from the AP (which will probably be on the floor next to an entrance door) and it is in the same room but the room is partitioned by a wall reaching three quarters of the width of the room and the pc is behind this wall.

Does this wall make much difference in the reception or is it a case of even at 108Mbps wireless isn't much good for gaming ?

you should be alright (getting full rate), as long as the partition material isnt foil lined ..... even then if its in the same room you will get enough of a signal for some bandwidth .... and in fairness online gaming usually confumes SFA bandwidth
