    howdy all!

    i heard a song a little while back and it has been stuck in my head ever since but i have no idea who its by. i think its called cowboy song or something like that. i've searched the net but cant find it so can any of you help?

    its starts off with a didgery-doo and heres some of the lyrics:

    "sitting on a trail,
    wasting all my time
    the horse has lost its way
    the rations have declined
    and i can feel the sun
    beaming down like a steam filled engine
    burning red coals pound by pound
    on this desert fronted shade (???)

    (chorus)
    and i can see the sun over the town
    but i dont know the way
    to stand up to this place (???)


    and riders pass me by
    turns my motivation dry
    and i havent slept for days
    just caught up in this haze.
    theres comfort in this dust
    its hiding me from a debt i owe
    for an unknown gambling bust
    thats haunted me for days

    (chorus)
    and i can see the sun over the town
    but i dont know the way
    to live and still not play (????)

    half my lifes gone by

    More info might help. Did you hear it on the TV or Radio, what station and what time ?

    Male or Female singer. Is it a band or an individual. Hard to tell at times I know.

    tbh honest i cant remember where i heard it.

    it was a male singer with female backing.

    I must say it is quite a situation when you know all the words to a song, and still have no idea what it is or who it's by. Doesn't happen often.

    Perhaps you imagined you heard the sone, but actually subconciously composed it within a moment of clarity in your drunken state! As such I suggest you produce the song and release it, make a mint. My fee is 20% :D

    I assume your being sarcastic.
    If not, he didn't know the name of the song or band, so how could he get the lyrics from a site? If he got them by searching for a couple of lyrics he did remember, surely the site would tell him the name of the song and the artist.
