Hey i havent really had any piercings before but i want to pierce the left side of the lower lip. Just noobie questions like- can i put a ring in straight away or is it a stud? How long do i have to keep it in for before i take it out and it doesnt close up? How much does it usually cost?

It can be pierced right away with a ring or a labret stud and you should usually wait around 6 weeks before changing the jewellery from the original one. Price should be 30-40 euro depending on where you get it pierced.

If he lives near Ballymena he's hardly going to come all the way to Dublin to get one piercing done!

What have people heard? That they have only trainees and then they let them go one they are fully trained? That's what I have heard, what I have seen is my sister getting her tongue pierced there, the guy pierced it off center and it was skewed too. She had to get it taken out and redone in a proper piercing studio

They normally only have one apprentice at a time. Who pierced her? Was it an apprentice? Rob and Steve are probably the best piercers in Dublin bar none.

Snakebite are very good the other two are way too expensive and I wouldn't trust them. But that's only cause they are newer! I've been going to Snake bite for years now so I ain't gonna change now!!

As for lip peircings, I got mine done on the right side it look's well. You can get it done with either a ring or a bar but I don't recommend changing from a ring to a bar or vice versa, it will have to heal again in a diffent postion. Healing time take about 6 weeks. The price vary's on place to place but arond €35. If you take it out for long period's of time it will close up or a least start too, so it maybe hard to get the ring/bar back in!
