Theres absolutely no problem changing levels before the exam starts?! Like does the examiner ask what level your doing then you tell him or do you have to ask him to change it? Esp in Irish and French?

They should just ask you to put up your hand if you're doing higher level, give all of those out then hand out ordinary level papers to anybody who hasn't got a paper. They don't actually ask you - but the superintendant will come around during the exam and write down in her records what level you're doing. Usually you exam number is stuck on the desk, so they dont even need to talk to you about it. If they run out of papers for one level, they just photocopy them, which has been known to happen. Apparently it's one of the reasons they use the same aural tapes for all levels and the same visual aids (maps, photos for english, etc).
