how would one get rid of an annoying toolbar that interferes with some connection features. must have downloaded this 'tool 32' some time during the year and while i got rid of that the link is still there. can anyone tell me is there also a way of activating/deactivating the auto disconnect feature on dial up internet

IN Modem properties change it there, you need to find the registry entires for that to go away.
Also search in the IExplore folders and you settings (mydocuments unhide system files and folders to see them)

Should be a file with tool as its name you can delete.
