great last minute win for Wexford today.

Anyone see that sour-faced bitter old codger Noel Skehan being interviewed afterwards?

He came out with whining crap like "this qualifier system is new to us" and commented on Wexford's "last four and half minute goal" - "but I'll say no more about that - for now". In other words he felt that too much injury time had been played?

    hateful

I'm sure you'd be bitter if you lost with the last strike of the game! :D

Wexford deserved the win i'm delighted for them. I lived down in Wexford for a year and i have a soft spot for them. i thought they lost it when DJ scored what looked like the winning point. I was hoping Wexford could get a point back a force a reply but they got the goal and it was no more then they deserved. Brilliant game.

wexford actually did lose to Kilkenny last poc once and in extreme controversial fashion. John Power carried the sliothar 11 yards without playing it off the hurl once before scoring.

I've never been so delighted as I was last sunday. After an amazing game (really fecking intense atmosphere in croker) to pull off such a late goal and really sicken those kilkenny bast@rds was the best buzz ever. (I'm from wexford incase you didnt notice)

After so many years of being beaten by a last minute scrappy goal by the cats, it was beautiful to return the favour (only there was NOTHING scrappy about Mick Jacobs goal - pure class it was).

the kilkenny fans and players are such sickeners, it was so sweet to see them on the losing side. the kilkenny fans rarely take out their flags and jerseys and start cheering until they are certain they have won (and then its like - "where the hell did these guys come from"). They were too cocky, and over confident, and for the wexford team (and fans) it was better than beating england in the world cup final.

Who knows - they might meet again in the final and wipe the pitch with them again.

Best match ever - best play ever by wexford - just hope they can keep it up for the rest of the championship

    GO ON THE WEXFORD

If Wexford play like that every week, they will make it all the way to the All-Ireland final. I would love a Dublin vs. Wexford Leinster Final. i'm from Dublin but like i said i lived in Wexford for a year and it would be great to see Dubs vs. Wexford. I would be up for Dublin of course.

cannot see dublin beating offaly on sunday......though you never know.

yeah good & deserved win for wexford, nothing against kilkenny but still nice to see someone else win for a change.

    hmmm
Offaly will win. Won't deserve it and will probably sneak a last minute score

    :(

Wexford have a very bad track record as far as replays go. They needed that last minute goal to stay out of the back door. A point wouldve lead to an awful thrashing in the replay I reckon.

I think they should win against Offaly in the final. That win against kilkenny will be a huge boost to the team, and they'll all be mad to train as hard as possible to win some silverware this year. (especially after the sh!te they've been upto this year).

As long as they still go into the match as underdogs they should be okay. They never do well being the favourite.

    Up Wexford!
