RJ-11 cable with Netopia modem

Installed Eircom broadband yesterday, using the Netopia two port modem. It works fine when I use the RJ-11 cable that is supplied. However it is too short for where I want to position my pc. So I bought a length of RJ-11 cable (25 ft) from Woodies but it dosnt seem to work with this cable. Should I be trying to buy a…
