    Just wondering how do you get a image beside the domain name in the title bar,

    Google with the first result containing all the info you need. Esentially all you need is an .ICO editor.

    if you find a good program that lets you import gifs and jpgs, instead of giving you a stupid palet to mess around with, let me know...

    Do a search for icon editor. There are a few out there that allow you to do this, though I haven't touched our favicon in at least 3 years.. ..

    Just make you image in PS, Firework or even Paint & use this site to turn it into to a favicon.
