I know the one in my area that's down on the list doesn't have an automatic carwash... so it must apply for the manual ones too then?

Or get somebody else to do it, using their own equipment and getting themselves all wet instead. €1 is hardly going to break the bank.

Was going to, but realised that the only people who work in petrol stations at weekends are teenagers who wouldn't have a clue what to do when you hand them a coupon printed out at home...

I got my car brushwashed in the Statoil in Taylors lane.

The roof aerial came off the car in front, (I saw it but did not think)

The aerial was stuck in the brushes and damaged my bonnet.

I got nowhere with Statoil (they wore me down).

Hence, I've never got my car washed with them since
(or bought petrol from them, any Statoil, either)

An email from my friend this morning:

Thank you John as I can confirm that this deal is kosher. The Renault got
its 1st wash in 6 months (!) last evening courtesy of said offer in Swords
village Statoil. The Ukraine lady serving said that the vouncher had to be
printed in colour, so I told her that there's feck all colour printers
    around!
This morning I was reminded why I don't wash the car any more as its
cleanliness is back to square one due to me still living in a building site! but
    thats beside the point...

I work for statoil, Supervisor in Kilkenny. The Top wash normally costs €6.... so you make a saving of €5. Statoil cannot be held responsible for damage to cars unless the wash is at fault. At all the stations if you look behindyou as you drive into the wash there is a camera monitoring you.

There should be signs up telling you to take your aerial off and asking the staff if the mirrors etc should be turned in.

Ken 90, you should keep it up with statoil, you should get somewhere. Ask to speak to the area manager. I assume you complained at the time the incident happened. If you did it would have been looked into an incident report book, to be reviewed by head office.

    Anyway, that's about it.

    John
