    Ive noticed this twice now

first was with the royston brady, "me da was kidnapped" sham...big story but it happened late in the day so sky didnt have it in their 7 oclock bulletin

again today with the new national pay agreement no word of that in tonights bulletin

does everyone knock off at 4 .30 and head off down the pub in that outfit? or wha?

Sky are good at getting the big obvious stories of the day, but you'd rarely see those 'in brief stories' from around the country. If it ain't headlines they aren't interested.

A friend who works for them, said 5pm or 5:30pm is his deadline.

And they have no live Irish news bullie at the weekend - but an interesting repeat of their packages.

Not exactly 24 hour news - despite what you hear about use of the Sky News helicopter here!

Is that a euphemism? :) Sky News Ireland looks no better resourced than the TV€ "news room" does. A good oppotunity missed. No wonder they did'nt go head to head with RTE.

    Mike.

Ah, yeah! You can't really use the words "Sky News Ireland" and "interesting" in the same line and expect to get away with it, can you?!

    watching again tonight

their lead was the bush visit and the army getting ready

the publication of the "STATE AIPRORTS BILL 2004" only warranted a mention in their news in brief section

never mind the fact the break up of aer rianta could have a massive knock on effect for tourism here jobs the economy etc etc
