The effect of trying to play cards drunk

Like a fool after a serious night on the beer i decided it would be a good idea to wander into the fitz to play brag and so on. This is no problem as I did this last Sunday too and hit a brag to make it a good night. My problem was I went in with a guy who is into me for a few hundred and was willing to let him go further into it.

So had just arrived and was talking to John the pit boss and Luke and they asked me was I going to play a cash game. Classic Holdem Situation Follows mind says no way what so ever, mouth however says "Yes of course why else would I be here" what a muppet I am and then actually managed to say to Luke for some reason that he was English much to his bemusement.

My one good move was a 6am when they merged tables so that we would have been playing with Frank Hunt and all those other serious players and I walked away. Which my mate didnt and lost in 20 mins.

So walked out at 7am this morning after playing like a tit, won a bit lost big, won a bit lost bigger etc. Lesson learnt will be living on saw-dust now for the week due to a lack of funds.

Also found out what the situation with the dealers id though. Was talking to one who Im friendly enough with and this is how it works. They are ALL, including tournie dealers, on a set rate per hour, €12 - €16 depending on experience. The money left at the end of a tournament is divided between all those who dealt it during the night. The cash game tips that are given per hand all go to that dealer. And the general Roulette, BlackJack and Brag tips all are split between those who worked in the pit during the night.

So a dealer like Dave has the potential to get a cut from all tip jars during a busy night. And the reason they all come over here to deal is because all their tips are taxed in England and the casinos take a rake from the tip fund aswell, so its a double tax and the dealers see f'all from the tips
