    wanted a good guide to setting up a home based website ive got netsource 512 down 128 up and i dont have a clue but i pay a tenner extra a month for my website to be reged so i might as well host it myself any help would be great im looking for a raw starting guide thanks

    If you want to host it yourself then I would advise a fixed IP address. You will also need to register a domain name.

    As for setting up a comp to act as a hosting server it couldnt be easyer.

    Go Here, download and install. Read the instructions about adding asp, php, perl support. It should take you about 10 minutes.

    Then you can access the website by local host or IP address if you are connected.
    This will get you 90% on your way.
