Anyone have any experience of cycling across any of europe? Was thinking of maybe flying into Brussels with the bike with Aer Lingus. Then cycle around Belgium for a week. Any recommendation/warnings out there?

    Tks

Use the bike lanes where provided!! The motorists can be quite militant in their insistence that you do so!

be sure you know how much you'll be charged for your bike travelling with you as well, it can vary dramatically from airline to airline

    Try http://www.gamber.net/cyclebel/
I live in Belgium and the Dutch speaking side is well set for cyclists. From Brussels int airport head north west towards Ghent and Brugge. The Dutch speaking side speak English very well. As per the website try out riding along the canals but bring your walkman/radio BBC on 648khz AM.
Ask more if you like!!! :):):)

I'm planning on spending 3 weeks camping and hostelling in France and Switzerland in August. Have a look at Ken Kifers pages.
