Dell Dimension 2400, supposedly €749 at:
    http://www.dell.ie/tv/

but when you go to buy it without adding any options, the price suddenly inflates to €831.27 or €890.56 including delivery.

What the hell is going on?

    Yeah get rid of:

" PROMO:Upg to 3Y NBD (Next Business Day On-site) including Online Training"

    Replace it with:

"1Y CAR (Collect and Return) [subtract €141.57]"

    €750 :)

The Dell offer prices only give you a 1 year standard warranty - when you click the link, they try to get you to buy a 3 year warranty. Simply click the 1 year -warranty option and they subtract about €141.57 from the "new" price. So it is actually the advertised price, but they just try to sell you extras.

[EDIT] axel bet me to it [/edit]

It took me ages to work out that thing with the warranty, I'd imagine it puts a lot of people off.

Its not that bad a price considering you get a TFT monitor and Windows XP licence. We have the same TFT's in work - you won't be playing games on them but then you won't be playing games on those PCs anyway.
