Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

if you check out www.free-ringtones.eu.com and go to the link for free polyphonic ringtones, they have just over 2000 free ones :) you can listen to them all before you get em and all you gotta do is make a note of the code number for the tune you want, then using the wap service on your phone goto http://wap.iwfr.net when that loads up it ask's for the id number of the ringtone, pop it in and select go....and bob's your mothers brother :) hang up once its downloaded and save your credit, usually takes about 20-30 secs and has cost me on average 5c per ringtone :) nice

ah it's straight forward to use, just select services from the main menu on your phone, then select go to address and follow the instructions as per whichever site you use.

just been looking through ringtonenation and have to say i think that may have a better selection, but with free-freeringtone at least you can hear them before you download them :-\

only thing you have to remember is that once the tone is downloaded to hang up so your not online the whole time wasting credit.

If you're using GPRS you won't have to worry about this as it is charged by data volume, not time online.

Now, depending on if you've an old SIM card, GPRS will not work. Look at your SIM card and underneath the gold chip, where there's a bunch of numbers, there should be GPRS written somewhere on that side. If not, go to either a Vodafone/o2/Meteor store and they'll upgrade your SIM for you, free of charge. However, if it does says GPRS, call customer care, as you might not have the right settings on your mobile for GPRS.

Give a look on the Mobiles/PDAs fourm where they have threads on GPRS settings!

Why does noone just look on the internet for a site with lots of free midi files, right click on the download link and note the address of the song itself. Then go onto wap/gprs and go to that address... hey presto free ringtone. Just gotta pay for the time online/data volume.

Plus it has the added advantage of being full songs you can download

Cos thats a pain in the ass if you dont know how to get online in the 1st place.

    Who is your provider?
Meteor send you a text and it contains the settings you just enable them. Go to the website in the 1st post or www.polyphonicrintonez.com get the song ID you want using your PC , go to the website on your phone enter the ID and thats it you will get the ringtone for free. Well the cost of going online.

Dunno what O2 and Vodafone do to get you online.

Heh, call me cheap but screw paying for ringtones when I can get 'em free. Never mind downloading midis from your phone, I use the data cable that came with mine to copy stuff from PC straight to phone - so I just download ringtones on my PC, either using google to find MIDIs that I like, or using Soulseek/whatever P2P client you like to look for shared MMF files. Then there's the whole thing of phones that can use WAVs or MP3s as ringtones (Although they take up a hell of a lot of memory)...
