I've only played small amounts of poker over the years, and Texas Hold 'Em only once or twice years ago in college - but really want to get into the scene now that I've moved to Dublin. Would this game be totally unsuitable for a newbie? A newbie to Hold 'Em, not to card games or gambling that is. the game sounds like fun...

Not totally, but you would probably be better off reading up or actually playing some poker before attending one of the games, a good place to start is www.vcpoker.com download the software and register a nick, you can play for free for 10cent tournaments and there is play money games, this will give you a good idea about how things work.

Unfortunately as it stands the table is full, I can put you down on the waiting list but personally I would get to know the game a little bit better.
