If you read my posts you will see nothing but support. I say I don't want bad dealing, so I offer to deal. I don't see why you are getting so defensive.

    Thanks!!

Thats the part of my post that has the same attitude to what your saying, except your saying it to somebody who has said it themselves.

Maybe I picked this up wrong then. If i did then sorry. Just sounds like alot of people aren't being very supportive when its their mates trying to organise a tournament for them instead of the casinos.

I know they say you go over the top lafortezza but i thought that was poker they were talking about. :D

Now in fairness this shouldnt be a debate at all, it was simply announced that this tournament has been organised mainly because we have spoken of this being our ideal event in the past, so people went and done their drunken best to sort it(Thanks Kev we owe you another scotch) and as for the casino: They literally jumped at extra business and so will be supportive to us.

As regards to the dealing I definately think that 1 dealer per table is a must, somebody who is competitent to deal out of seat 1. Pre-assigning the 3-4 dealers still creates a random draw with a person still getting assigned to any one of 36 seats to a 4 table tournament. Having one table deal for themselves and others with a dealer isn't really an option as the players on the self dealing table will be going a hell of a lot slower.

    Right, its sorted.

7pm start (and we will start promptly so be there, you can arrive late but you will be blinded and unless I know you are on your way you're chips will eventually be taken away).

Its 55 euro with 5 euro per person going to the casino. I'm less then happy about this as we arent getting dealers (apart from the final table) and we arent getting finger food so I'm not going to rake anything from the prize pool so the all 50 notes will go to the winners.

I'll assign dealers and if they get moved I'll deal with that situation as needed, I'm sure by then someone will have been knocked out who can/will deal for a table.

So, thats that sorted. The age limit will be lax as its a private function.

    Any other questions?

I'm also thinking that we should be finished in time for a pint too and we might head round to Larry's for a swift half afterwards... if everyone can keep from taking swings at each other that is...

Bearing in mind that this is a first effort. There may well be some issues which we will need to iron out. I do not expect it to run 100% smoothly on the first go. This is, hopefully, simply the first of many.

So everyone get out and bring your friends. And also please cut us a bit of slack if it is not the smoothest run tournie you have ever sat down at.

    Well done lads, sounds perfect.

Bit scabby of the Meriron not to supply dealers but sure we'll be fine by ourselves.

    Count me in.

    This is Omaha right!?

Cormie lol. You are offering to deal to avoid bad dealers. I assume then I can pre-mark the deck for when you lay out the board before any betting :)
