Nokia 6610...Weird problem :/

My mate has a Nokia 6110 on an O2 contract.
Problem is a little number 2 has appeared on the main screen all of a sudden and now he can't make calls or send txts.....recieving calls and txts is grand.

I did do a search online already for about an hour. He's done the usual.....e.g removed battary...and sim....tried different profile.

Again, a tiny little 2 digit is on the top left-hand corner of screen.....

He can't ring O2 till he gets home.
Any ideas?

if its still under warranty get the software flashed in any nokia repair centre.

to check warranty dial:

*#92702689# or
*#war anty# into the phone and the warranty is one year and 3 months after the date the phone was made on.

Nah....he's managed to sort it.
He said he "changed it from line 2 back to line 1" and all was well....happy days.
