I notice the PITA and Cook Islands submissions are pretty much identical. It was also interesting to note that none of the protectionist responses seem to have listed statistics for calls to these areas. You would have thought this would be a particularly important statistic to support their arguments.

Well done to ComReg on this occasion. I'm afraid I lack the warm, blissful feeling others in this thread are experiencing however. ComReg will have to do a damn sight more before I'd give them a jot of my support.

This is a pain to those who wish to call porn dialers. I can see the following happening " Hello, Telco, I would like to ring the number 00 xxxx xxxxxx but it wont work" " OK sir I can unblock it now". And a porn dialer is back in business!

Except the teleco is responsible for making sure the number isn't a porn dialler before unblocking it. if it is a dialler number, and you get caught out by it, you don't have to pay.

I posted that as a new thread, one of the mods must have merged it. I didn't realise it was being dealt in a thread called "Porn Dialers - The FAQ". IN any case I think it merits its own seperate thread.
