    FYI re: 72hour test, if your line is failing - no test, 72hour or otherwise is going to magically make it pass (no eircom test anyway).

    This further testing is for new lines, which as of yet have no test result ie: they are not registered yet up on the broadband line testing system, so will not bring back a result qualifing your line for DSL but wont neccessary fail it either. It takes that "72 hours" or whatever to add the line, then test, then get back a result.

    But if your line is just flat out failing, putting it through that process wont do anything at all (and its highly unlikely they'll bother anyway).

    Eircom, put simply need a customer revolt - If a non - eircom alternative is available use it eg IrishBroadband fron the NTR - no eircom involvement.

    Don't forget you are paying 48 euro line rental no mater who u use... Its crazy we should be angry, and the only protest they will recognise is a drop in turnover!!!
