" IRVINE, California - June 28, 2004 - Blizzard Entertainment today announced July 5th as the date players can start signing up for the European closed beta of its eagerly awaited MMORPG, World of Warcraft(tm). Potential testers will be able to register online through the official European Blizzard Web sites for the English-, French-, and German-speaking markets: www.blizzard.co.uk / www.blizzard.fr / www.blizzard.de. The final selection of testers will be chosen randomly to ensure a broad base of playing skills, locations, and system requirements to address compatibility and game-play issues. All submissions will receive equal consideration at any time throughout the sign-up period, which will run for approximately three weeks. "

Hope it lives up to the hype. I'll be trying it anyway. Honeymoon period should be fun, atleast. Same for EQ2 (never played EQ). :dunno:

Playing golf twice a week...had 5 birdies in my round last night...hitting ball 340 yards off the Tee...well on one hole.;)

Sign-ups for the European Closed Beta Test for World of Warcraft will end next Monday morning, 26th July. If you would like the chance to join the Beta Test, please register your application this weekend and before 10.00am (9.00am in the UK) on Monday morning.

FYI - No one's received emails, nor will they 'till after the July 26th.

For those lucky applicants who are successful, I'd just like to say, "Gratz in advance... and I hate yez all.":D

and here was me hoping to open my inbox this morning and find an invite.
looks like it's going to be a while. whats the hold up though? the game is already in closed beta in america, is it that hard to set up a couple of servers and load the game, it's not like the game needs to be customised

I used several e-mail accounts to improve my chances of getting in.

If i happen to get more than 1 account (unlikely) then i will be sure to offer it to the first poster who requests it (and doesn't already have one ).
