I'll say yes as it wont do any harm.

Don't think so myself. This board doesn't seem to attract many muppets and people rarely get out of order...

assistant? do we even have the real thing anymore?

  • Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators Posts: 6,521 Mod ✭✭✭✭sharkman

As DukeDredd says , there are not too many muppets on the board .

But I'll do it ... Ahhh the power .. :D

I think this is a product of Neil3030 not being around much lately.

I don't think this board _needs_ a new moderator as the SNR and muppet count are low but it might be an idea to have a secondard one if Neil isn't around much for a while.

definitly needs to be modded some how. Neil3030 is never online anyway.

Leave the admins to decide what to next.

it cant do any harm to have a second mod on there.. but it seems to be one of the
    more civilised boards on here..

The irony of it all is that it takes a discussion about an extra mod for a muppet free board to drag a muppet out of the woodwork.

    Vote Bond-007 for Mod! :D

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

No need for one imho members are generally well behaved here and I quite enjoy a wee good natured flamewar now and then :)

If the powers that be decide we will have another mod, then my vote would go to mike65 too :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,563 ✭✭✭leeroybrown

In the interests of brainwashed mindless agreement, I'll lend a vote towards mike65 too.

a vote for mike65 is a vote for communism :p

I'd be horribly worried if I was being serious in the first place. Only way I'm ever going to be a mod is if I sleep with an admin... and I ain't that desperate for an extra star.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,785 ✭✭✭Farls

The board isn't really moderated that much but a second opinion on things never hurts....i think it needs a second moderator not just an assistant

I think their should be more stickies or even a big FAQ full of usefull stuff like websites of all the car clubs in ireland, garage sites, if you want to mod your car sites etc...

A vote for mike65 is a vote for fascism.

I swear to God, not more than a week as mod, and he'll have Neil3030 taken out back and banned, along with all the major posters.

Within 6 months, the patrons of the Motors board will only discuss motoring topics offically sanctioned by mike65 himself, and slowly and surreptitiously he'll spread out and infiltrate the other, smaller boards, enticing them into joining some kind of superboard with visions of socialist paradise, but slowly he'll be introducing posting quotas, board-sponsored bannings, while the mods at the top revel in their newfound power and corruption.

    ...

I've thought about this too much :D

I'd be a Liberal Demoncratic er Democratic Mod which is to say I back the right to own a car but would fret about the consequences for the planet.

If you ask me boards.ie is getting to lax. I cant remember the last time i felt oppressed, its beginning to not feel like boards.ie without the iron fistready to oppress the masses.
