I'm after installing Photoshop on my computer and I'm trying to put a friend's head onto another picture. I worked out how to cut the head out using the lasso tool and then I copied it into the other picture. But his head is too small on the new picture!!

How do I make his head fit properly, i.e. resize it.

    Cheers,

    B.

Use the arrow tool, click on the head, and a square should show up around the head, just drag the sides to match what you want.

u need to resize the photo (making sure you are at the same zoom (check toolbar))
so that the two heads look the same size..
then it's probbaly better to use the clone (rubber stamp) tool to actually
    paste the head..
Hold down ALT and click the source, then clone away on the destination photo :-)
It's takes a bit of trial and error to sus out where to start the clone...

I've been playing around with this a bit recently, for a friends wedding..
    Some examples:
    With Bertie and bush
    Meeting the pope
    With his Ex girlfriend

Go to Edit>Transform>Scale and then adjust by dragging the mouse.

Then you could adjust brightness/contrast and hue/saturation to blend it in better/match the destination image.
You will find these under Image>adjustments

So what order should I be doing it all in?

What I've been doing so far is......

    Opening the the two images.

Cutting out my mates head with the lassoo.

Copying and then pasting his head onto the new picture using the paste as a transparent layer option and then that's where I get stuck!!!

    Eh?
    What version you running?
Is the option even 'greyed out'

It might be under: Image - Resize - Scale

    "Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8"
It might be under: Image - Resize - Scale

There is an option for Image - Resize but then no Scale?

Sorry for all the questions, but I've to get this done today so it gives him enough time to get it to printers to have the invitations in time!! :(

:D   :ninja: Eh, Whoops!!!!

Sorry!! As stupid as it sounds, I didn't know the difference!!

Anyway I think I've sussed a way to do it.

I copied and pasted the two image into an excel spreadsheet.
Resized his head (the whole picture) to match the other picture.
    Print screen.
Then pasted it into whatever program (lol) that I have installed!!!

    Longwinded but it worked!

Thanks for all the help even though I did give you all a bum *ahem* steer!!!

I might be back for more questions though!!! :ninja:

Just to show that I'm not a complete an utter tool (although some might disagree!! :D) Here's what I came up with in the end. I think it ok for a first effort considering I didn't even know what program I was using!!! :D

I thought the hardest parts were the resizing of the head, he was facing the wrong way so I had to mirror the imafge which was straight forward enough. Trying to match the skin tone was a nightmare, I didn't have the best of pictures to start off with, it was from a picture phone and the Irish complection isn't too similar to that of the Italian!

I had to blur the outline of the head with the smudge tool because thee was a kinda white outline that made his head stand out too much, and had to reshape his ear witht the smudge tool also, as half his left ear was cut off during using the lassoo thing.

The collar around the neck was a pain, it just stopped where Bob deNiro's ended so again I had to use the smudge tool to wrap it around, God blees the smudge tool.

Could of done the font a bit better but I didn't have a lot of time.

Thanks again for all the help.
