I still get e-mailed about 30-50 viruses per day.

I have a "catch-all" for 4 domain names, but it's seriously getting tiring now. Never used to happen until a few months ago. My AVG antivirus stops them all, but is there any way to make them stop arriving in the first place?

try this http://www.mailwasher.net/ it checks your mail without actually downloading it. you can sort your mail on the server and delete and bounce it back to where it came from and when you download your mail all thats left is what you really wantto get

I used to get them from people I used to go to school with, who I never liked, who I didn't know had my email address....I just blocked each address as they kept coming from the same people.

I get a couple of copies of NetSky every day to one particular account I have. 2 others are totally spam/virus free.
I haven't ever actually been stung by a virus since CIH/Chernobyl nuked my 486 several years ago.

i was getting about 7 virus's a day for a period of about a month, but over the last week its gone down to 1 virus every 2 days aprox. I think its either the netsky virus is not spreading as much anymore, or else iol.ie mail servers have new filters in place

yep still get the netsky virus on a regular basis but nod32 takes care of it

What im getting sick and tired of though is the continual spamming of my e-mail address , i get everything from viagra to cialis to porn spam and its getting very very annoying

This morning I deleted 42 e-mails from my account all were spam

    GRRRR

I've received no more than four viruses through emails in the last 24 months. Norton catches them all Thank God.

If I'm subscribing to anything, or giving my email to a website or something, I always use my hotmail a/c, that way it doesn't interfere with my day-to-day email.

The difficulty is that, if you have a catch-all email account, the addresses have obviously been scraped off the web pages or somesuch. It's probably too late to take remedial action because the addresses have now propogated through all the other spam lists, so you're on the databases and nothing you do now will change it.

Pain in the ass I know.
