Fiesta speedometer

The needle of the speedometer on my Ford Fiesta has started ‘bouncing’ over the last few days. It moves but it won’t stay still, it vibrates and ‘bounces’ up and down. Any one any idea what the cause of this could be and how I could stop it. Thanks.

the spring holding the speedo needle is knackered,hard job to replace as you gotta take the whole dashboard apart

Just replace the speedo cable.

Yep, sure sign of the speedo cable. It may go on like this for months, but the cable will most likely go eventually.
