Ok this is trivial but so annoying....every monday at 8.15 my Pocket PC reminds me about a blank meeting ..no subject .... no nothing. So of course I cant see the blinking thing to delete, either in Pocket Calendar or Outlook.

    Any ideas???

hi, when you look at a Monday using 'Agenda View' in Pocket Outlook is there no item listed for that recurring alarm?

do you remember when you set the reminder for the event to occur (i.e. 2 hours / days etc. before)?

do you see anything in any other day using agenda view, in case the reminder was set to x days beforehand... and which version of Pocket PC are you running ('00,'02,'03?)

If you are using a PDA with Pocket PC 2003 you might be "glad" to know that there is a known issue with the alarms. Sometimes the notifications don't work, sometimes there are duplicate alarms in the queue, and/or alarms that have never been created.

More information can be found on the Pocket PC Thoughts web site in this thread
    http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15261

If you google for "pocket pc alarms problem" you will find loads of other references to this issue.

There are some software solutions for this problem:

    1. Scarry Bear Software's Check Notification (FREE)
    http://www.scarybearsoftware.com/ppc_cn_overview.html
Allows you to view the notifications queue and remove duplicates and manually remove unwanted alarms.

    2. Burr Oak Software's pTravelAlarm Wakeup Tweak (FREE)
    http://www.burroak.on.ca/ptafaq.html#wakeuptweak
There are certain circumstances that may cause Pocket PC alarms not to trigger. This utility allows you to "tune" the wakeup parameters of your Pocket PC, which can improve alarm stability.

    3. Spb Pocket Plus 2.0 ($14.95)
    http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/?en
This has a lot more than just the alarm fix, and it is one of the best PPC appliactions out there. The alarm fix included in Pocket Plus will remove any duplicate alarms when you restart (soft reset) your Pocket PC.

I've been using the combination of the three applications for almost a year, and I had no issues whatsoever, the alarms are working like a charm.

You hit the nail on the head andreio it was exactly what you suggested. I downloaded the scarybear software and it cleaned me from 189 notifcations down to 33! It also highlighted my 2 blank 8.15 alarms and let me delete them. :D

You sir are a top banana!

Think I have an older version of pocketplus - must d/l the new one.

It was PocketPC 2003 btw DubW.

Cheers for all your help guys.
