A mate and I are going into the Fitz freeroll tomorrow (Thursday, 8th).... he hasnt played in a casino before and hasnt played much hold em so I'm going to explain the game to him the hour before the game starts. Since I'll be explaining the blinds and all that to one, its probably as easy or easier to explain it to a few (since we can play a game then!).

Anyone looking to learn Hold'Em tomorrow night and then play in the free game, post here or meet me inside the Fitz at 8:30pm.

    DeV.

Over 18s. Club Rules. Bring some ID if it's your first time and brush up on your blackjack skillz to gamble away the free €10 chip they will give you for signing up.

Wipe your brain of any memories you have of CPS, they standard of play is laughable. Check out Late Night Poker or World Poker Tour, on Home and Leisure and Challenge TV respectively, if you don't have Sky try Bit Torrent.

an insurance bet of 50 (between the two of you) on zero also turns potential loss into a guaranteed gain of either 9.75 or 8.75 each (if zero comes up). but i'd put it all on seventeen. 350 bills practically assured.

the tournie starts at 9:30 and is open for new arrivals until 10:30/11.

I'll be in there from 8:30/8:45 and will be having a beer in Larrys from 8.
Read up on the basics if you want to learn fast but remember noone is grading you on your performance tonight, its supposed to be fun!

Only just saw this today..... I would defo be interested in attending a "Hold'Em Master Class" if there was one going on in future. I play online but would be a bit intimidated in the casino. eh, live!

if you are around tonight from 8:45 I'll be in the club. I dunno about a "master-class" but I can teach you how the blinds work and what to fold, call or bet with if we get that much time. Its really not as intimidating as you might think! Its a very friendly place (noone wants to scare off the fish!).
