    just looking for a router that
    provides access to a lan via a dial in line

    all i seem it find is vpn, serial or dsl routers

    any help????????

    Linux box with a modem ?
    Some routers, old ones, take pcmcia cards for their wan connnectivity. Could use a pcmcia modem in one.

    Hang on, just get an isdn router.. Cisco 1603 possibly.

    ISDN or analog line, and do you require call-back?

    The old 3COM ISDN officeconnect modem/router combo we had used to allow RAS.

    Now though they only seem to advertise a dual port analog version.

    just analog line.

    just to allow someone to dial in,
    and got served an ip within a certain dhcp scope

    i have reserved ips for this
