Hi everyone. At the weekend I used an ascender (for the first time) for self belaying. Anyone any views on brands/types out there... seems like a great bit of kit, handier than a prusic. Any good stockists online that anyone herre has dealt with??

I use prusicks for assending because they're light and cheap. I've heard that tiblocs can shred a rope quite quickly, I know you can't reverse them for descending. What acenders were you using?
