Company Name searches?

    Is there anywhere online you can do a search for a company like to see if its registered? Like you would with a domain name etc.

    It's been there for quite a while now...a year or two anyway.

    It's still a bit of a pain if you want to grab copies of company returns on line though. You have to open an account and keep the account in credit etc. UK companies office just lets you pay as you go and a lot of information is available free of charge (if I remember rightly you only have to pay for copies of full annual returns).
