BOTF XP Problem

    Yes i know this should be in tghe games fourm.
    sorry u can move it if u want data i just know ill get a quicker responce here.
    Sorry if it annoys u, feel free to move it.

    With XP half way though the install of birth of the federation it gives me a error.
    I need to know if it is a problem with my CD or a XP problem that everyonehas.
    I have this problem with allot of old games like the orginal CnC on XP.

    Try and run itin comaptibilty mode user


    Right click on shortcut, right click properties, goto the compatibilty tab and run it in windows 98 mode, see if that works

    There's a patch you can search for that'll fix the game to run on XP, google is your friend!

    the compatibility thingy didnt work for me but the patch did

    however i cannot cheat with the patch for some reason

    U mean use the -Mudd cheat or do u mean modifying the shiplist.sst to cheat?

    I got Mudd cheat to work but i didnt get shiplist.sst to work.
