12-07-2004 10:41pm#1A man is sitting at home reading his news paper when his wife whacks him over the head with the frying pan.
"What was that for?" he asks.
"That was for the piece of paper in your trousers with the name Mary-ellen written on it" she replied.
"Don't be silly," he says. "Two weeks ago when I was at the races, Mary-ellen was the name of one of the horses I bet on." She seemed satisfied with this and apologized.
Three days later he was again sat reading when she nails him with the frying pan, knocking him out cold.
When he comes round, he asks again; "what was that for?!" she responds:
"your f****** horse just phoned!!"
