Thing: although quake matches are usually 4 v 4, tribes matches need to be 7 v 7 AT LEAST. That's the limit for the new UK league - and most people think that's too low. The main US league is 15 v 15 ffs! I think you should aim for a tribe of 10, split into 3 squads of 3 and one commander/defender.

One squad along with the commander should be dedicated to defense, comprising of 1 heavy (for mortaring and guarding objectives like the flag) and 2 light/mediums (mediums for turret and sensor deployment, but switching to light for actual defense and sniper killing.)

One squad should be pure attack, and should modify armour depending on the stage being played. However, they should have 1 sniper, and at least one light/elf attacker - and possibly one heavy if the level suits mortaring over elf attacks. This squad should always stick together, and travel to their objectives in one group. They should always have one specific objective in mind before leaving base (ie: "take out east sensor, followed by their plasma turret" or "take down their missile turret whilst the sniper makes a run for the flag")

The last squad of 3 should be assigned to perimeter defense, flag retrieval, and taking secondary objectives. They should be responsible for laying sensors deep in enemy territory and defense/repair of outlying installations like sensor arrays)

Anyways, the population of IGN.ie Tribes 1 is still low for now, but here's a list of worthy lads (yeah I've missed out ppl, either because I can't remember everyone, or they're muppets. <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> )

Hmmmm The only player there that causes me any grief is Fiend, who seems to have progressed from camping the RA Room on DM3 CA to a bloody annoying flag running. Yep Fiend as far as I'm concerned your the toughest Irish Tribes player I've played against so far although Carnate plays a damn good game as well, hmm he wasn't on Teeths list, he must be a muppet then !!!!

Oops yeah, I forgot Carn. Fiend is an *evil* player. Damn sniping git sitting on a hill half a klick behind the base and sniping me in the head when I'm trying to repair stuff and killing my turrets and inv stations and solar panels and all the muppets I keep sending out to kill him keep getting wasted and I have to leave the flag and go light and go out and disk the ******* and when I get back my muppet defenders are chasing an enemy flag catcher half way across the sodding map and they just can't shoot the git and he's too far away to kill and Fiend flys overhead in a scout again to take up his old position and it drives me nuts so I go on offense and we lose cos my lot haven't a clue about D and couldn't disk the side of a barn at 10 paces and spend more time blowing themselves up on the mines I lay on the flag than anythig else and no this game isn't getting to me at all... <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
