    Just got off the phone with Sony , The reason that it comes up with the error code is that the price is incorrect . Should be normal price ..

    Asked could I not get it for the advertised price .... NO that price is incorrect ..

    buy a small accessory so the overall price is not zero, the checkout process should work for you then.

    5. Price
    The cash price of Products shall be Sony’s currently applicable price at the date and time of acceptance of the Customer’s order. This may be specified on Sony websites or at Product purchase “check-out”, but the definitive price shall be that which is notified to Customer by Sony on acceptance of the order by Sony. Any incorrect prices on Sony websites shall be void and of no effect and in respect of any orders placed for incorrectly priced Products, the correct price as determined by Sony shall be notified to the Customer and, if the Customer wishes to continue with the order, substituted in place of the incorrect price.

    Prices do not include shipping or handling costs, transport insurance, VAT (or other revenue tax), duty and other taxes, levies or charges of any authorities, unless otherwise specified, or otherwise required by applicable law. You agree to pay shipping and handling costs for Products, and any other charges described in the previous sentence (if applicable), as specified in the invoice issued by Sony after purchase of Products from Sony.

    What about your rights? Retailers are covered for pricing errors, it doesn't affect your rights at all. Anyway, they don't have to sell you anything, its an "invitation to treat".

    Pricing errors only allow the customer to take advantage when it has some price to it. One guy on the Argos staff copped that they made a catalogue error, and they were selling a tv for something like, 10 euros. He put his order through, and Argos said it was a mistake. He took them to court and won the case.

    Don't bother trying to pay it, they'll either refund it without supplying the goods or take months to give you your money back. Trust me - it happened before (ok, it wasn't free but it would have been an ok price).
