    ... and that newbie is me.

    I got Tribes today. I'm pretty impressed, to say the least. However, despite having had it for several hours, I'm a net-play Tribes virgin (I have a deep suspision that this will end when I'm raped in the first online game, but however...)

    Reason is, I have a problem.

    The problem is: a little message window that says that Tribes can't resolve the hostname for it's master server, which is "IP:tlml.masters.dynamix.com:28001"

    However, it isn't an intrinsic network problem because the Tribes IRC client works fine.

    Suggestions?

    Try replacing that with the following for the master server address "IP:209.185.222.237:28000" and see if that works.

    God, that game is complex.... I thought that having read a few strategy guides and played the basic missions would be enough, but apparently not!     Dont bother with the master server in tribes, use gamespy, its quicker on the loads and refresh's. The newest ver has tribes support

    Was playing with Vagabond and against Jag. I ask vaga to paint the location where jag is (he was currently on the roof in broadside). Anyway jag jumps down to one on one me, and vagabond is trying to paint him like crazy <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> hee hee.

    Targeting laser only works on stationary targets.
