tribes and fps

just wondering is fps as important in Tribes as it is in q2?. Being a slower paced, more tactical game, i would presume that Tribes places less emphasis on fps in regard to how well u play.

FPS *always* matters. Type showfps(); in your console to get an FPS display. Type show(); to get rid of it. I play 640x480 on my voodoo2 because there's a difference of nearly 20 fps between that and 800x600.
