Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just saw the king arthur trailer on tv there and noticed that it completely ripped off the music from the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers trailer.

That music was brilliant, and it's being sullied by a bandwagon-hopping film. Highly annoying.

Ah but you could accuse The Two Towers of ripping off Clint Mansell's superb Requiem for a Dream score :)

I could, but that would be terribly mean of me seeing as it was much revamped for the trailer :) .

Ah yes but they *did* use the Requiem for a Dream theme for the Lord of the Rings trailer. It was a re-mix of it granted but it was the same piece of music.

Also - Frodo was on smack - that's why he was sweating all the time.

it's the music from Pirates of the Caribean and currently Around the World in 80 days that does my head in from over use...

What was it originally used in?

I want to say The Mask of Zorro....

its common for trailers to reuse other stock film music

Yes - there are certain tunes that are used in trailers all the time. Dont know the shagging names of em - real spine-tingling classical dramatic music (dangermusic I suppose). the terminator 3 trailer uses one of these.

Think the new spidey one does too. Fecking deadly they are

the old spiderman 1 trailer used the planet of the apes music i think from danny elfman who did both spidey movies and apes im not 100% though
